Abstract

• Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in April 2020 is based on the calculation of NTP with a base year 2018 (2018 = 100). This NTP calculation includes 5 subsectors, namely the rice & pulses, horticulture, smallholder plantations, livestock and fisheries sub-sectors.
• In April, the East Nusa Tenggara NTP was 95.59 with the NTP of each sub-sector recorded as 95.87 for the rice-palawija subsector (NTP-P); 102.16 for the sub-sector of horticulture (NTP-H); 90.54 for the smallholder estate crops (NTP-TPR) subsector; 102.47 for the agriculture subsector (NTP-Pt) and 93.89 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).
• There was an increase of 0.09 percent in April NTP if compared to March NTP. Although increasing, farmers in rural areas are still unable to meet the needs of household consumption and the need for capital goods / production.
• Inflation in the rural areas was 0.47 percent affected by rising prices for food, beverages and tobacco.
