Abstract

In April 2024, there was a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Ngada District amounting to 2.55 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.09. Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the rise in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food and beverage/restaurants group by 11.76 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 6.75 percent; the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 6.19 percent; the education group by 0.24 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.05 percent. Meanwhile, other expenditure groups experienced decreases, namely the recreation, sports, and cultural group by 3.39 percent; the household appliances, equipment, and routine household maintenance group by 2.24 percent; the transportation group by 2.06 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1.56 percent; the health group by 0.86 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.45 percent.

In April 2024, there was a month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation in Ngada District with a month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate of 0.82 percent. In April 2024, year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation occurred in Ngada District with a year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of 1.50 percent.
